My God (Part 4)

MY GOD - MY SAVIOUR

Our spiritual life is not a religion it is our personal relationship with our God

Once Jesus asked this question to his disciples

Matthew 16:13-16 - When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

However, God told me that in order to maintain a close relationship with Him, His people must know the following truths:

“Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Today in many congregations, many people have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Rather, they know God in many other ways:

Jesus is asking the same question to us:

“Who do you say I am?”

This is the third series of this message

I. Close to Know God as our Creator.

II. Close to Know God as our Saviour & our Redeemer.

III. Close to Know God as our Father.

i. Mtt: 5: 45. That you may be children of your Father in heaven.

ii. Deut: 32: 6. Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you?

iii. Mala: 1: 6. “A son honors his father, and a slave his master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the Lord Almighty.

iv. Mtt: 5: 16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

IV. Close to Know God as our Best Friend

i. Jn: 15: 14. You are my friends if you do what I command.

ii. Jn: 15: 15. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

iii. Ish: 41: 8. “But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend.

iv. Ex: 33: 11. The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.

1. Walk along with my friend I never get tired

2. Talk with the Lord my friend I never get bored

3. Hold my friends hand I will never fall

4. Call upon my friend’s name JESUS – never lack anything

5. Tell your problem to my friend he will solve it
