House of Prayer

Matthew 21:13 - "Jesus said to them It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,"

We are the temple of God – we are a house of prayer - use our tongue wisely to glorify God and pray for others.

Ephesians 5:4 - "Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving."

Our houses are houses of prayer.

  • Our houses are not solely entertainment centers

  • Our houses are not solely a place to eat meals

  • Our houses are not solely a place to rest

  • God has given us beautiful homes for prayer.

Our church is a house of prayer.

  • More than any activity, the church should should be a place for God’s children to pray.

  • Be active, be regular, and be participants in corporate prayer gatherings.

John 2:15 - "So Jesus made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables."

Let us drive out all the distractions that have replaced our personal prayer life, our family prayers, and church prayer life and let's restore prayer back into our homes and church with a rededicated personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ in this new year, 2018!

2 Corinthians 2:11 - "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."

Where there is prayer, the devil will not approach that person nor that home.

If a robber sees a police car in front of a home, they know better than to enter that home.

The devil is afraid of the prayer of a child of God.

We have so many precious things in our homes, both materially and spiritually.

We are not on a playground, but instead on a battleground.

Let prayer become a habit instead of a religious activity.

If we aren't praying to God, then we are playing with devil.

As the saying goes, "Pray or perish!"

Submit yourselves therefore to God.

James 4: 7 - "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
